A Spotlight Artist Series Event
Kari Grunberg - Live at the Duplex
Kari Grunberg grew up in Vermont spending lots of hours at Spotlight. Today she’s an in-demand stage, screen and voiceover actor based in New York City.
Her one-woman show, By the Way, That’s Moozie was a hit at New York’s famed cabaret club The Duplex just as COVID began its reign in 2020. Now, Kari returns triumphantly to Spotlight’s new Black Box Theatre to perform this touching and humour filled story… '
At the formative age of three years old, Kari was given a gift that would change her life forever. A gift that had traveled two thousand miles to reach her. A gift that would launch a friendship of epic proportions. The gift...of MOOZIE. Who is Moozie? What is Moozie? Why...Moozie? Featuring a wide array of songs from the musical theatre and pop repertoire, "By the Way, That's Moozie" explores the majestic tale behind the steer, the myth, the legend himself. Follow Kari and Moozie on a fresh, funny, heartfelt, and ultimately wildly entertaining coming-of-age journey of fierce friendship between a girl and her stuffed animal Texas Longhorn.
Join us as Kari kicks off her tour of this fabulous show!
Whether you join this event in person at our Black Box Theatre or live-streamed anywhere in the world, it’ll be a night to remember!
